Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Whether your family is returning to us or joining our community for the very first time, we are thrilled to welcome you to the Pleasant Knoll family.
As we move through this year together, our staff is dedicated to cultivating a strong, compassionate school culture guided by our core values. Every day, we work alongside our students to put our best PAW forward by demonstrating personal responsibility, a positive attitude, and a great work ethic. Beyond our daily efforts in the classroom, our overarching mission is to help our students leave their PAW Prints on the world.
Leaving a Lasting Mark At Pleasant Knoll, education extends far beyond textbooks and tests—it is about character, community, and helping our children discover the unique strengths they offer to those around them. Our priority is empowering students to recognize that they do not have to wait until they grow up to make a difference; they can start right now. Small, intentional actions daily create a lasting, positive impact across our school and broader community.
Guiding Our Students: Throughout the school year, our teachers and staff actively encourage students to leave their mark through:
-
Kindness and Inclusion: Recognizing how a supportive word or inclusive gesture can change someone's entire day.
-
Leadership and Responsibility: Taking ownership of their choices, supporting their peers, and caring for their shared environment.
-
Resilience and Growth: Embracing mistakes as vital stepping stones toward personal growth and meaningful contributions.
"We believe big changes start with small steps. Every child has the power to make the world a little brighter."
Partners in the Journey: You are our most valuable partners in this mission. The habits, values, and kindness you model at home form the foundation for the footprints your children leave at school and out in the community. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with you throughout this school year and beyond as we celebrate the dynamic ways our students step up and make a difference.
Thank you for your continued trust and for walking alongside us as we put our best paw forward together.
Social Media & Communications: Our weekly newsletter and social media channels serve as our primary forms of ongoing communication. You will receive the PKES Panther Press, our parent newsletter, each Sunday at 4:00 PM.
